Miranda Kneebone Occupational Therapy Fees July 2026 – June 2027
Clinical Service Delivery Time:
$186 per hour
This includes time spent for
- face to face appointments
- telehealth appointments
- communication with other practitioners involved or equipment suppliers
- clinical documentation and report writing
- time taken to score formal assessments
- phone calls of more than 5 minutes
The type of services you need be discussed with you as part of forming a service agreement so that you don’t receive invoices for services you don’t want.
Travel Costs
Therapist’s time: $1.61 per minute (equates to $96.60 per hour)
Plus
Vehicle expenses cost : $1.00 per km
The time and km for travel includes the time taken to travel from Miranda’s base location for the day to the appointment as well as the return trip. If there is travel to more than one participant without returning to base, the total travel time will be split between participants, providing this works out in their favour.
Mobile therapy appointments require a minimum of 1 hour contact time plus 12 minutes non-contact time, in addition to the labour costs per minute and non-labour costs per km for the therapist to travel to the appointment.

2 x 1 hour face to face or telehealth appointments (usually one with caregivers only)

1 hour non face to face time for reading background reports, documenting goals and preparing written summary and plan

* There is less non-contact time required for these follow-up appointments because they are more likely to be working on similar goals and use similar therapy activities. For some people, short intensive blocks of therapy represent good value for money, whereas for other people, appointments can be spaced out, and used to review progress and provide new ideas over time. The most suitable model of therapy will depend on the goals being worked on, the age of the child, personal preferences and other priorities to consider, for example school or other therapies.
